A flower is the most romantic and beautiful way of expressing one’s feelings. Such is their beauty that they can melt and win anyone’s heart and fill the surroundings with joy and fragrance. I still remember keeping the flowers in my books just to preserve the feelings that came with these beautiful souvenirs. They may not stay with us forever but the feelings that came with them, they do.
Flowers are used to enhance the beauty of all sort of occasions but what we associate with them the most is “romance”. There is never a moment when you hear someone mention a rose and thought of love and romance doesn’t strike your mind.
The world of flowers is full of beautiful varieties but here we would be talking about some that depict love and romance, so that the next time you have to express your feelings of love to your loved one, you can have some more variety in your bouquet with the splendid red roses.
  1. Red Rose: Of course, this is the first one in the list. The flower depicts love and is the most loved flower all over the world. Its also the most gifted at the time of Valentine’s Day. The reason is obviously well known. A rose is also the symbol of England. Just by gifting the flower you can express your feelings to the other person.

  3. Lily: Lily means beauty. This flower depicts purity. The white lily depicts chastity and virtue. In all the colors this flower is the perfect way of showing the pure love that you have for your beloved.
  4. Carnations: The flower depicts fascination and is associated with a woman’s love. It is the best selling flower across UK and is the favorite of love struck couples in the country. With the long shelf life this is definitely a clear favorite.
  5. Tulip:Tulip especially a red tulip is also known as a declaration of love. This flower represents love in its pure form. The red velvety part at the inner portion of tulip is said to represent a lover’s heart. These have a long shelf life and they grow even after they are cut if kept in water. This is another favorite of lovers after red rose.
  6. Lilac: A lilac is a symbol of a new beginning. These are typical spring flowers and are one of the most expensive flowers of them all. A white lilac is a symbol of youthful innocence, while lavender lilacs depict the first emotions of love and hence a new beginning.
  7. Iris: This flower is a symbol of faith and love and it also depicts romance. Though it comes in a lot of colors like pink, purple, lilac etc. but there is no red variety available. But because of the symbolic relevance, it is another favorite of the lovers.
  8. Orchid: Orchids are very elegant flowers which depict love, beauty, refinement, seduction etc. The exotic appearance and the elegant looks make it a perfect gift for the lovers.
  9. Sunflower: This flower depicts loyalty. The basic reason for this can be dedicated to the fact that this flower is not only vibrant and bright in its looks but it is quite useful as well. This makes it an ideal choice for the lovers who want to show that they will be loyal to their romantic counterparts till the end of their lives.
  10. Wildflower: A wildflower that is also known as forget-me-not flower is found in a lot of varieties. They depict adoration and the exotic looks of this flower make them an ideal gift for your lover.


Though the Valentine’s day is one of the occasions that witnesses most of the exchange of flowers that are depiction of love and romance, but why wait for some particular day to show your love?
