Benefits of Organic Flowers

These days a lot of people have been talking about going green and lot of articles are written and studies being conducted over the benefits of organic farming. Last couple of decades have seen a lot of changes in the climate and whether we agree or not, we all have been a part of the driving factors that have been responsible for these changes.

Supporting the organic movement could be just the next best thing when all this is happening around us. So what can we do to save our environment from the effects of the harmful chemicals? The answer lies around us in abundance. Go Green!

Eating organic food, buying organic products is one way. We can go a step further in this by buying organic flowers. Whenever you decide to gift flowers to a loved one, try to buy the organic flowers. Doing this can have a great impact on the nature. You must be thinking why you should buy organic flowers? There are a lot of reasons but some of them are cited here:

  • Each flower counts: By buying a single organic flower, you encourage the organic flower farmers to grow even more such flowers and this eventually helps in increasing the supply of these flowers in the market. This will lead to more and more people buying organic flowers.
  • Organic flowers help in enriching the earth.
  • Since there is no use of harmful pesticides and insecticides in cultivation of these flowers, so the environment doesn’t face any harmful effects and also we do not stand the chances of consuming the harmful chemicals directly or indirectly.
  • It has been observed that the organic flowers last longer as compared to the other flowers and also these flowers are more fragrant.
  •  Since there are no toxins on these flowers, so there are no chances of contamination of the ground water and soil. The toxins that seep into the ground water and soil as a part of the chemically grown flowers, eventually end up entering the food chain as the different animals and birds consume the water and plants that grow on the contaminated soil.
  •  The pesticides that are sprayed on the flowers not only contaminate the soil, but they also evaporate and hence become a part of the air leading to air pollution.
  • Organic flowers are in a way a slice of leading a healthy lifestyle.
Every small drop in an ocean counts, and so does every small step taken towards saving our mother nature. So, don’t hesitate in showing your gratitude towards the nature that gave you such beautiful surroundings and chance to live a great life.
